straight trippin'...

our field trip to resource center/center for creative reuse
35 years of non-profit recycling and reuse (and magic...)

and...after 40 minutes of waiting around...
we met two lovely ladies from humboldt park who are starting their second community garden.
(one of whom actually saved us by finding us a way in...)

this is bill. sweetest man. and...he knew where everything was........
everything.....
outside.

the warehouse.
(tetanus)
there was no light in the warehouse,
just the sun.

custom art shipping crates from around the world.
each one is filled with foam that was formed to the work.
the work is gone. the shipping crates are here with art shaped holes inside.

part of the main house.
they had boxes and boxes of vinyl lettering....
boxes....
our purchase.

we bought these descending pallets in different woods to hang work.
we were thinking of using them on the back wall with more work hanging above it.
we grabbed some bricks to slide between them as extra support.
out next field trip will be to the beach to fill bags with sand....

bill helped us load up the car.
it took a few tries, but we got all three home.

  2. Yay! I'm so glad we found a way in! We build the raised veggie beds and got everything we needed from Bill that day. I only wish I had more time to actually go explore!
